The client initially inquired about rubies from Burma (Myanmar). Top grade gemstones in the one carat range are difficult to find, especially in the desired red color (Pigeon Blood red). To stay within the couple’s budget and meet the specific details, I was able to source a beautiful ruby from Madagascar.
I designed a setting that was modern and simple to truly showcase the ruby.
